Eng. Walid Mohammed Al-Zoubi
Engineer Walid Mohammed Al-Zoubi is a Syrian businessman with significant contributions in the fields of business, education, and community development. One of his most important and prominent works is supporting the education sector for over 30 years. The activities of Engineer Walid Al-Zoubi's educational and charitable institutions have focused on education at all levels, as a fundamental entry point for investing in human capital and social development of local communities, building the capacities of its students and enabling them to continue their studies. The work of these institutions has not been limited to inside Syria only; they have also carried out their activities and programs in Jordan, Egypt, the UAE, and Turkey, providing services to Syrians displaced and refugees in these countries as a result of the war that has lasted for more than 14 years.
Mr. Al-Zoubi embarks on supporting and financially investing in education, participating in human development, and building individuals in a genuine way that is far from superficial appearances. He also bases his activities and programs on adopting specialized institutional work that is free from improvisation and randomness, ensuring continuity, inclusiveness, and sustainability.
Highlights of the activities and programs of the Walid Al-Zoubi Charity Foundation:
- Providing a scholarship for 100 Syrian students to continue their studies at Gaziantep University in Turkey.
- The contribution to financing the printing of two million books from the curriculum that was adopted in Syrian schools in Turkey and northern Syria during the revolution in collaboration with the Science Authority.
- Providing 200 scholarships as part of the Distinguished Teacher Project for displaced Syrian high school graduates who continued their studies at Jordanian universities to graduate as teachers in various specialties, such as: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, sciences, and languages …
- Following the distinguished teacher project in Syria, with an expansion of the scholarships offered to high school graduates in all Syrian provinces without a specific limit on the number of accepted or accommodated students in this scholarship. Engineer Walid Al-Zoubi represents a true source of inspiration throughout his journey from a committed engineer to a successful businessman and humanitarian developer. He embodies resilience and vision, with a deep love for his country through his numerous contributions in the fields of business, education, and community.
